Job summary

General Mills, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator for Avon Mill. You will move and store raw materials, ingredients and finished products, and handle inbound/outbound shipments in a 24/7 operation.

You must have at least 2 years of forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic computer skills. Overtime, weekend shifts, and 2nd/3rd shift availability are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of Forklift operation experience.
• Experience in warehouse operations and use of WMS preferred.
• Forklift and/or other POV license/certification and/or willing to obtain one.
• Basic computer skills to support daily warehouse/manufacturing operations, including data entry, email and system navigation and use.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forklift operation within production/packaging and warehouse operations
• Selecting, preparing, and loading products for outbound shipment per customer specifications
• Responsible for the storage of raw material or finished product
• Receiving, unloading, and inspecting inbound materials
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
• Assist in training new employees
