Job summary

General Mills, Inc. Avon Mill is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to operate and maintain flour and dry mix production lines.

The role includes packaging, inventory control, and equipment troubleshooting in a fast-paced 24/7 plant environment. The position offers a starting wage of $26.73 per hour with a $0.50 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive benefits including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing or related industry preferred.
• Basic computer skills to operate digital tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Package and process operations within the mill.
• Maintain inventory, lot tracking, and product rate transfer documentation.
• Monitor equipment to maximize performance and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform sanitation and cleaning across mill areas.
• Assist in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
