Job description

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Forklift Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Pick and Inventory duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Load and unload truck.
• Count inventory of what is returned from manufacturing and relocate to maintain maximum usage of storage.
• Pick/stage orders.
• Transport materials with forklift
• Receive in componentry from vendors.
• Verify count of incoming products (noting any shortages on the packing slip).
• Any tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager
• All employees are responsible for food and safety quality
• All employees are responsible to report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
• Work in conjunction with other departments.
• Complete require documentation as required before loading/unloading trailers.

Qualifications

• Position Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 – 2 Years of Experience in a similar role
• Must possess a current and valid license/certification for operation of a lift truck
• Follow all safety requirements to ensure personal and product safety
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to understand/speak English
• Strong communication skills (Interpersonal and verbal)
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to count accurately
• Maintain fast work pace while maintaining safety

Compensation and Benefits:
