Forklift Operator Shipping

Tasks:

The position is responsible for manifesting and loading trailers. Applicants will be considered for openings in departments such as Shipping and Receiving. The environment is cold and damp, with temperatures from 28 to 42 degrees. The work is fast-paced and involves repetitive motions. Some roles require lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40+ lbs., while Material Handling and Receiving roles require lifting 70+ lbs. The job involves constant standing, walking, and operating powered material handling equipment like forklifts and stand-up lifts. Specialized training for powered industrial trucks is required to qualify within Tyson Foods. Candidates meeting the minimum requirements may be contacted for an interview.

Requirements:

• Willingness to work in cold and wet environments
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed
• Willingness to train for and pass forklift license training
• Good hand and eye coordination
• Ability to stand for 8-9 hour shifts and work overtime and weekends
• Ability to follow instructions and perform basic math for shipping calculations
• Willingness to read, follow, and understand loading procedures
• Use of EIM (Enterprise Inventory Management) device for scanning
