Job summary

Olsten is assisting in recruiting for a current 1st shift Forklift Operator position for a well-established company located in Mullins, SC.

Drive a forklift in an efficient and safe manner, perform simple maintenance checks, load and unload trucks, operate stretch wrap, stack pallets, keep records, and maintain a clean work area. High school diploma or GED preferred. Pay: $14.00 per hour with benefits after one week.

12. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED preferred

1. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Must be able to drive a forklift in an efficient and safe manner

• Must be proficient in reading and math

• Must be able to work without supervision

• Must be able to follow directions

• Computer literate for data entry

1. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• GMP’S

• General safety

• Controlling food allergens in the plant

• Forklift safety

1. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. of product occasionally

• Lifting manually limited 5% of the day

• Standing 35% of the day

1. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

• Safety equipment to be used as instructed

1. WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work performed in a plant environment

• Exposed to any number of elements (heat, steam and cold)

• Sitting @ desk and or on forklift 65% of the day

• Frequently during the day getting on and off of fork truck
