Olsten Staffing Services is assisting in recruiting for a 1st shift Forklift Operator position in Mullins, SC for a well-established company. The role requires operating a forklift safely, performing basic maintenance checks, loading and unloading trucks, and entering inventory data.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive a forklift in an efficient and safe manner
• Do simple maintenance checks on forklifts
• Load and unload all types of trucks and materials
• Operate stretch wrap machine
• Stack and unstack pallets
• Keep legible records
• Keep work area neat and clean
• Pull rework and reassemble
• Work in other departments as a fill-in if needed
• Enter inventory data into inventory tracking system

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED preferred

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Must be able to drive a forklift in an efficient and safe manner
  • Must be proficient in reading and math
  • Must be able to work without supervision
  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Computer literate for data entry

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• GMP'S
  • General safety
  • Controlling food allergens in the plant
  • Forklift safety

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. of product occasionally
  • Lifting manually limited 5% of the day
  • Standing 35% of the day

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

• Safety equipment to be used as instructed

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work performed in a plant environment
  • Exposed to any number of elements (heat, steam and cold)
  • Sitting @ desk and or on forklift 65% of the day
  • Frequently during the day getting on and off of fork truck

Pay Details: $14.00 per hour
