Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. You will transport palletized product from production to the inventory pad and assist with loading trucks, while maintaining safety and professionalism with customers and coworkers.

The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment, can lift up to 70 lbs, and is able to work extended weeks including Saturdays. Certification for forklift/Spyder is required, and a drug screen will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Ability to work +/- 60 hours per week including Saturdays (hours not guaranteed).
• Forklift/Spyder experience is required (certification is required).
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and walk for short periods; bend and stoop; climb stairs and ladders; work outside in all weather; tolerate dust.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport palletized product via forklift from the production area to the inventory pad.
• Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity.
• Follow all standard operating procedures related to transporting product within and from the autoline production area.
• Wear safety gear at all times (safety toe shoes/boots, vest, hard hat, gloves).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
