Palmer Logistics, now part of H. Essers, is seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our team in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. This role involves receiving, shipping, quality control, and safe operation of various forklift types to support our U.S.

warehouse operations. Pay rate is $19.00 per hour with a schedule that may include early starts, late shifts, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–3 years of forklift experience in a logistics environment.
• Flexible work schedule: early shifts, late shifts, weekends as needed.
• Ability to work in congested areas and non-climate-controlled warehouses.
• Must have 2–3 years in handling hazardous material.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform bending, pushing, pulling, and standing tasks.
• Detail-oriented with basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• High school diploma or GED required; English reading/writing/speaking essential.

Responsabilités

• Load, unload, move, and stage product using sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers.
• Pull and prepare shipments for shipping, including labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, and bracing.
• Verify shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Utilize RF scanner to track inventory and movements.
• Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with warehouse and office staff to reach productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform daily equipment inspections.

Position Summary

Forklift Operators are responsible for receiving, shipping and quality control of various customer products consisting of non-hazardous and hazardous materials, food grade and other commodities. Forklift Operators will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proficient in operating different types of equipment in a fast-paced environment, while implementing best practices that support the continued growth of Palmer Logistics and H. Essers.

Pay Rate:

$19.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, move, and stage product by operating various equipment such as sit-down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker.


• Pull and prepare product for shipping including but not limited to labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, block and brace.


• Verify shipments for accuracy, document and report any discrepancies.


• Utilize RF scanner.


• Follow established company policies and procedures.


• Collaborate with warehouse and office personnel to meet productivity goals.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area.


• Perform daily equipment inspections prior to operation.


• Perform other duties and not limited to just driving a forklift, you will label, band, stretch wrap, clean drums and totes, and restack bags and pails.

Qualifications:

• Must have 2 -3 years of forklift experience in a logistics environment.


• Flexible work schedule: must be able to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.


• Must be able to work in a congested area(s) and non-climate-controlled warehouse.


• Must have 2 -3 years in handling hazardous material


• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, adjust the body to bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab; walk and sit for extended periods.


• Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.


• High school diploma or GED.


• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
