Job summary

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move materials within our Lebanon, MO facility.

This hourly role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and handles loading, unloading, transporting, and tracking materials while adhering to safety, quality, and warehouse procedures. Responsibilities include selecting and preparing orders, building pallets, performing cycle counts, inspecting for damage or shortages, and completing related documentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to read packaging labels, shipping documents, pick tickets, and safety guidelines.
• Work independently while staying aligned with team processes and priorities.
• Strong attention to detail in material handling, inspection, and inventory-related tasks.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and safety standards consistently.
• Basic math skills for counting, tracking, and verifying materials.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
• Clear communication regarding product damage, shortages, equipment issues, and process exceptions.
• Prior forklift heavy load operating experience required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license & Class E required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, ship, and receive warehouse materials and products.
• Transport materials to designated locations within the facility using a forklift and related equipment.
• Pick, wrap, stage, and prepare orders for shipment based on pick tickets and production needs.
• Build pallets and complete pallet picks to support shipping and internal material movement.
• Perform weekly cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy activities.
• Inspect materials and products for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Complete required shipping, inventory, and material-handling documentation accurately.
• Check forklift condition and report maintenance or repair needs as needed.
• Follow warehouse safety requirements, quality expectations, and production schedules.
• Maintain a clean work area and identify workplace safety hazards.
• Support other departments with forklift-related material movement as needed.
