Aerotek in Fairfield, NJ is seeking a Forklift Operator/Material Handler for a wallpaper manufacturing company on the first shift (10:30am-7:30pm). The contract-to-hire role pays $20/hour with overtime at $30/hour and is fully onsite in FAIRFIELD, NJ.

You will pick, pack, and process client orders, operate a forklift, manage inventory tasks, and ensure safety and accuracy while meeting KPIs. This position requires standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Proven warehouse experience in picking and packing.
• Experience operating a forklift safely in a busy warehouse.
• Ability to read and analyze documents and reports in English.
• Experience working under KPIs and performance metrics.

Forklift Operator/Material Handler Needed in Fairfield, NJ for Wallpaper Manufacturing Company on First Shift

Location: Fairfield, NJ

Shift: 10:30am-7:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Pay: $20/hour ; Overtime: $30/hour

Job Description

The Forklift Operator plays a key role in accurately picking, packing, and processing client orders so they are completed and shipped on time. This position involves operating a forklift throughout the warehouse and working within a fast-paced fulfillment environment that relies on precision, efficiency, and adherence to performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and process client orders with a high level of accuracy to ensure timely delivery.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse to move, load, and unload materials.
• Perform warehouse inventory tasks, including locating, counting, and organizing products.
• Execute order picking and warehouse packing activities according to established procedures and standards.
• Follow fulfillment center metrics and KPIs, meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
• Stand for extended periods while performing picking, packing, and forklift operations.

Essential Skills

• Proven warehouse experience, including inventory handling, picking, and packing.
• Hands-on experience with order picking and warehouse packing in a fulfillment or distribution environment.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and competently in a busy warehouse.
• Previous experience working in fulfillment centers with performance metrics and KPIs.
• Ability to read and analyze documents, reports, and computer screens in English.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFIELD, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
