Job description

Join to apply for the Forklift Operator role at Westlake Royal Building Products.

This position is responsible for operating the forklift to move product and materials around the facility in an efficient manner while adhering to all established safety policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures
• Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and flexibility in scheduling
• Operate forklift safely and follow all safety and company policies
• Inside forklift duties: feed production lines, remove wet tile racks, and place dry racks on the line; transport tiles between racking and cure bays
• Outside forklift duties: load trucks with tiles, unload transfer trucks, and assist with shipment materials
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the forklift; report issues immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Good communication skills
• Team player with reliability and strong work ethic

Education and Experience

• Ability to read, understand, and follow simple instructions
• High School Diploma preferred
• At least 1 year of related experience

Equipment and Materials

Forklift, mixers, air-driven pumps, moisture balance, dust collector system

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to tolerate noise, temperature extremes, and repetitive movements
• Ability to bend, twist, lift/move up to 50 pounds, and move around the facility
• Work around dust, chemicals, and environmental conditions
• Wear necessary personal protective equipment
