Production Associate 4 (Sit down Forklift Operator)

JOB DETAILS

• Base Pay: $20.00 per hour
• 2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in safety walks and all stand-up meetings.
• Investigate last known scan locations in WINTRAK of windows and doors throughout the shipping dock.
• Safely unload and load windows and patio doors onto shipping carts.
• Locate and retrieve custom windows and doors, located on holding carts throughout the shipping dock.
• Safely and efficiently floor load custom and stock windows and patio doors onto trailers, by manifested stops.
• Place all screen, panel, and frame kit labels on respective units before scanning and loading.
• Scan all stock/custom windows, PD doors, screens, panels, frames, sash/glass-only units to trailer locations.
• Ensure safe movement of carts in and out of the loading dock work area.
• Investigate and record stock pallet locations onto SD pallet forms and submit to forklift operator for retrieval.
• Properly strap all loaded windows and patio doors with straps and cardboard, following SOPs.
• Clean and sweep trailers before loading merchandise.
• Adhere to 5S guidelines at workstation and during operations.
• Ensure dock lock is engaged while loading trailers, and disengaged upon completion.
• Operate sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for the entire shift.
• Cross-train and rotate on various workstations within the line/complex.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and convert fractions to decimals.
• Ability to read, write in English, and interpret statistical data, reports, and instructions.
• Capable of using computerized equipment.
• Experience with electric or gas-powered forklifts (1-3 years), with certification.
