The core responsibilities of this role include: case-picking by hand up to 35lbs (approximately 60% of the day); operating MHE including Electric Pallet Jack and Reach Truck (approximately 40%).

Position: First (1st) Shift Forklift Operator
Shift: 6am or 8am, Monday-Friday
Pay: $21.25 per hour

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of 6 months operating a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift or Reach Truck
• Some light handwork skills

Role Purpose:

Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock within our warehouse environment. You will load and unload shipments of various sizes, using equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Our environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused. You will be an essential part of everyday life at DHL.

Key Accountabilities:

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using various forklifts or power equipment (80% of shift)
• Ensure shipment accuracy and proper product handling
• Maintain inventory records and reports
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
• Verify load accuracy and report variances
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources
• Maintain equipment and facility cleanliness and orderliness
• Assist with physical inventories
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program within 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience
