Warehouse/ Forklift Operator

Pay: $20/hr

Work hours: 2pm - 10:30pm

Must have skills: 2+ years’ experience in slipsheet, experience with multiple types of MHE – order pickers, reach trucks, and counterbalance.

Phone interviews: First, then possibly equipment demo.

Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate loading and unloading of products within the distribution center.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Load and off-load inbound and outbound shipments utilizing the WMS.
2. Report discrepancies between the inventory count and shipping/receiving documents.
3. Ensure every effort is made to load/off-load pallets safely to prevent damage.
4. Locate and retrieve products and replenish picking locations.
5. Assist with other warehouse responsibilities and act as backup during absences or vacations.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED; slip sheet operation experience required.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Operate MHE and RF scanners.
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• General distribution knowledge.
• Proficient in PC use.
• Strong initiative and results-driven attitude.

Physical Demands:

Requires walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting (over 50 lbs in some areas), and repetitive hand/finger motions. Climbing may be required. Vision corrected to 20/40 and sufficient hearing are necessary for safe operation of MHE.
