Qualifications

• Must have 2-3 years of forklift experience in a logistics environment.
• Flexible schedule including early shifts, evenings, weekends.
• Must work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Must have 2-3 years in handling food grade materials.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• High school diploma or GED; basic English literacy.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and stage product by operating various equipment such as sit-down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker.
• Pull and prepare product for shipping including labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, block and brace.
• Verify shipments for accuracy, document and report any discrepancies.
• Utilize RF scanner.
• Follow established company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse and office personnel to meet productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform daily equipment inspections prior to operation.
• Perform other duties including labeling, banding, stretch wrap, cleaning drums and totes, restack bags and pails.

Position Summary

Forklift Operators are responsible for receiving, shipping and quality control of various customer products consisting of non-hazardous and hazardous materials, food grade and other commodities. Forklift Operators will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and proficient in operating different types of equipment in a fast-paced environment, while implementing best practices that support the continued growth of Palmer Logistics and H. Essers.

Pay Rate

$19.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and stage product by operating various equipment such as sit-down forklift, reach truck, cherry picker.

• Perform other duties and not limited to just driving a forklift, you will label, band, stretch wrap, clean drums and totes, and restack bags and pails.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 -3 years of forklift experience in a logistics environment.
• Flexible work schedule: must be able to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to work in a congested area(s) and non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Must have 2 -3 years in handling food grade materials.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, adjust the body to bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab; walk and sit for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
