Palmer Logistics, now part of H. Essers, is seeking Warehouse Associates to join our Baytown operations. You will assist in receiving, shipping and quality checks of non-hazardous and hazardous materials, in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of warehouse experience in a logistics environment.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Flexible schedule: able to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product for shipping including labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, block and brace, cleaning drums and totes, and restack bags and pails.
• Verify shipments for accuracy, document and report any discrepancies.
• Inspect and perform quality checks on orders prior to shipping.
• Utilize RF scanner.
• Follow established company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse and office personnel to meet productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform any additional functions as assigned by management.

Position Summary

Warehouse Associates are responsible for assisting in receiving, shipping and quality control of various customer products consisting of non-hazardous and hazardous materials, food grade and other commodities. This position plays a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring the proper preparation and accuracy of shipments. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and reliable in a fast-paced environment, while implementing best practices that support the continued growth of Palmer Logistics and H. Essers.

Pay Rate:

$17.50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare product for shipping including but not limited to labeling, banding, stretch wrapping, block and brace, cleaning drums and totes, and restack bags and pails.

• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Flexible work schedule: must be able to come in early, stay late, and/or work weekends depending on operational needs.
• Must be able to work in a congested area(s) and non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Handling hazardous material is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, adjust the body to bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab; walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented and capable of performing basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
