Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials efficiently in a busy facility. You will perform routine safety checks, operate forklifts, and help maintain an orderly warehouse while meeting production needs.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, forklift experience, ability to work in a team, and a commitment to safety. Starting pay is $19 per hour with room for advancement and opportunities to participate in training and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience and basic operator-level maintenance experience.
• Legally eligible to work in the US; 18+.
• Strong teamwork abilities and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily maintenance checks of the assigned unit before operation to ensure safe operation of the equipment and that no repairs are needed.
• Notifies technician in advance when aware that equipment will need maintenance.
• Operates forklift in a fast-paced environment and maintains a clean and safe facility.
• Loads and unloads trailers safely and efficiently.
• Keeps the warehouse clean, orderly and all materials properly stored.
• Operates forklifts/pallet jack following all company safety regulations.
• Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience and basic operator level maintenance experience, be legally eligible to work in the US , and be 18 years of age or older. It is required to have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
