Job summary

Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. is seeking a Yard Loader to safely load and unload deliveries, operate a forklift, and provide excellent customer service at ADS facilities.

The role requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weekends as needed, reporting to the Yard Supervisor or Yard Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, performing forklift-related maintenance, inspecting goods, and ensuring accurate inventory and labeling.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation is required.
• Inventory management skills are a plus.
• Ability to work in a team and be dependable.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to PPE.
• Basic math skills for counting and measuring.
• Willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
• Customer service mindset when interfacing with drivers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Embrace a culture of safety; report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Safely operate forklift and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Ensure quality through final visual inspections and labeling of finished goods.
• Provide strong customer service while loading/unloading deliveries and minimizing errors.
• Maintain proper product rotation and track inventory levels.
• Learn pipe specifications and packaging requirements; support ongoing improvements.
• Engage in facility housekeeping and process improvement.
• All other duties as assigned by Yard Supervisor/Manager.
