Job summary

The Equipment Operator at Sarnova HC, LLC reads customer orders and requisitions and accurately picks, packs, and ships merchandise using a forklift when needed. Receiving and put-away duties are performed as directed to maintain inventory flow.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Sarnova Forklift Certification required or provided prior to operating equipment.
• Two to four years of warehousing experience with 1-2 years forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with personal computer equipment preferred.
• Experience driving material handling equipment (Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Forklift) preferred.
• Ability to use carrier’s computer shipping system for processing, labeling and tracking packages.
• Ability to work in a positive team environment and in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stack products within the warehouse following safety guidelines.
• Perform receiving and put-away functions for new, used, service, and returned goods.
• Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be picked and shipped.
• Move materials from receiving or storage to shipping or designated areas.
• Assemble and pack customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or in bins.
• Process orders using the carrier’s online service.
• Pack items with proper procedures to prevent damage and include packing slips.
• Attach labels compliant with all HazMat shipping laws and requirements.
• Verify order accuracy and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
