Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Madison, WI is seeking a Warehouse Associate to assist with offloading, receiving, storing and distributing products in a warehouse setting. Daily tasks include barcode scanning to record movement, receipt, and status changes to inventory, and safe operation of forklift and cherry picker.

Responsibilities include receiving and stocking inbound goods, accurate inventory location recording, fulfilling outbound orders, and performing regular cycle counts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Forklift certification required; cherry picker experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to move heavy items (up to 350 lbs.) for several hours.

Responsibilities

• Receive, transport and stock inbound products; physical lifting and use of power/manual lift.
• Record stock locations into the perpetual inventory system using the proprietary system.
• Fulfill orders by transporting, offloading and scanning outbound product to shipping lanes.
• Perform inventory cycle counts daily, weekly or monthly as required.
• Operate heavy industrial equipment and work at heights with fall protection.
