Job summary
La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a Warehouse Associate to assist in offloading, receiving, storage, and distribution of products in a busy warehouse. You will perform bar code scans, record movements, and ensure accurate inventory using the proprietary system, while operating forklifts and cherry pickers as needed.
The role requires physical work, safety awareness, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and up to 350 lbs on occasion.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent with 1–2 years in warehousing, receiving, packing, shipping or storage.
- Forklift certification required; cherry picker experience a plus.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to move heavy items (up to 350 lbs.) for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Receive, transport and stock inbound products; use manual and powered equipment.
- Record stock location in the inventory system and ensure accuracy.
- Fulfill orders by locating, transporting and scanning outbound products to shipping lanes.
- Perform inventory cycle counts as required.
- Operate heavy industrial power equipment and work at heights with fall protection.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
