GTI Fabrication is seeking a Safety Coordinator to develop, implement, and manage safety programs across our manufacturing environment in Buffalo, NY. You will partner with leadership to ensure day-to-day safety compliance with federal, state, and OSHA standards and lead training initiatives for all staff and supervisors.

The role requires 3–6 years of related experience, proficiency with OSHA audits, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Formación

• 3–6 years related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office.
• Prior experience with OSHA audits and preparing safety documentation.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and coordinates a training program for general safe work practices and job-specific hazards.
• Performs scheduled inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions and improve workplace operations.
• Investigates and reduces accidents and losses in compliance with regulations.
• Communicates and enforces site safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety codes; updates safety standards.
• Establishes quarterly training programs for all employees and supervisors.
• Conducts new employee safety training and orientation.
• Conducts safety meetings with staff on safety of employees, vehicles, property, and liability exposures.
• Provides safe and healthy working conditions and enforces safe practices at all times.
• Encourages reporting of unsafe conditions and injuries; coordinates repairs and follow-up.
• Communicates loss prevention information to management; works to achieve goals.
• Develops and maintains a Return to Work Program with appropriate staff and insurers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
