Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a distribution center associate in Missouri to pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders, keeping staging areas clean and safe, and delivering excellent service by selecting quality items and answering questions.

You will operate powered equipment with required certification, maintain inventory accuracy using the Orders App and SIMS, support leadership to resolve short picks, and complete audits, everyday tasks, and safety reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
• 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Powered Equipment Certification: Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck (Required; must be obtained if not already certified).
• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months of retail experience.
• 6 months of experience in customer service or product fulfillment in a home improvement or hardware retailer in related department (e.g., kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden).
• 6 months of experience inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
• Deliver excellent service by selecting high-quality items, validating orders, answering questions, and connecting customers with the right associates.
• Operate and maintain certification for powered equipment and follow safety requirements.
• Support inventory accuracy by using the Orders App, maintaining SIMS compliance, and partnering with leadership to resolve short picks.
• Complete administrative, maintenance, and readiness tasks such as audits and locker management, while reporting safety or theft concerns promptly.
• Achieve daily responsibilities with a customer-first mindset and strong communication and teamwork.
• May be assigned other duties to support the needs of the business.
