Responsibilities

• Maintain correct product inventories through warehouse system and log book.
• Assist with monthly physical inventory and supply stock to production and shipping areas in FIFO order.
• Communicate accidents or injuries immediately and follow safety procedures.
• Complete forklift daily checklist and report maintenance needs.
• Finish DecoPac forklift training program and 90-day evaluation.
• Maintain food safety and cleanliness per Good Distribution Practices.

Fork Lift Driver - FT 1st Shift

Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Now hiring for full time 1st shift Monday - Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Summary:

Successfully transfer product items to stocking production from the receiving line in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for learning and practicing safe and proper equipment operations including Fork lifts, pallet jacks and racking systems.
• Follow company policies and follow safety guidelines.
• Advise Supervisor of needs, product shortages, problems or concerns.
• Responsible to assist in all loading/unloading of palletized products and containers.
• Maintain correct product inventories through use of the warehouse location maintenance system and log book.
• Assist with monthly physical inventory process/cycle counts and supplying stock to production and shipping areas as need in FIFO (First In First Out) order.
• Communicate accidents and/or injuries immediately. Execute all actions in conjunction with company safety guidelines.
• Complete forklift daily checklist and communicate any maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Successfully complete DecoPac Forklift training program and 90-day/720-hour evaluation.
• Ensure safety and quality through Good Distribution Practices that include maintaining cleanliness and prevent contamination while handling/packing food and food contact products.
• Report food safety concerns to Warehouse Management, SQF Practitioner or HR. If open food product is found, set it aside and immediately notify Warehouse Management or the SQF Practitioner for disposal.
• Follow company policies and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

• Good communication skills and able to follow direction accurately.
• Knowledge of all forklift operation responsibilities.
• Ability to work flexible schedule with occasional overtime and weekend hours.
• Ability to work with all disciplines; interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfortability with heights.
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Understanding of Personal Protective Equipment.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a high traffic atmosphere.
• 1 to 2 years of experience on a stand up Forklift.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is desired.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
