The primary responsibility of the Forklift Operator I is to operate a seated industrial forklift and execute various material handling responsibilities, including the transportation of items between different locations to ensure proper operational and inventory flow. This role will identify and transport material to and from storage and staging areas, loading docks, and trucks. Furthermore, it is imperative for the DC Forklift Operator I to be knowledgeable about the machinery and products they are using and transporting.
Consistent interaction with other hourly production team members and management.
This position works in a manufacturing work setting. Frequently exposed to seasonal temperatures of excessive cold or heat. Work environment is often loud, dusty and/or dirty due to the concrete materials required for production.
