Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Forge Helper for a contract-to-hire role in Cleveland, OH. You will support furnace operations, load and cut steel, and inspect parts for quality using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. Training on 1st shift may start, with overtime and a $1,500 sign-on bonus available.

The role is fully onsite with work on two shifts (6:00 AM–2:30 PM and 8:00 PM–6:00 AM). Benefits begin after 30 days, including 401(k) with company match and uniform provisions.

Job Description

As a Forge Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting the furnace operations by assisting with the heating of furnaces, loading steel parts onto conveyor belts, cutting steel billets to specified lengths, and cooling machinery by spraying it down. You will also be responsible for inspecting parts using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to ensure quality. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible after interviewing. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half.

Work Environment

The work environment is a heavy manufacturing facility with temperature-controlled machining areas. The production area can be loud and hot, especially during summer, but breaks are provided every hour along with fans for cooling. The facility operates on two shifts: Training 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and work 3rd shift from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Flexibility to work either shift is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
