ELLWOOD Texas Forge in Navasota, Texas seeks safety-focused Forge Operators for the DG80 Complex/Hammer Shop. Join a crew using hammers, presses, furnaces, and dies to heat and shape steel into forged parts, with rotations across DG80 Complex and Hammer Shop based on performance and needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in heavy manufacturing or related field.
• Willingness to learn multiple forge-crew stations.
• Ability to safely operate industrial tools around heavy machinery.
• Strong safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Heat, preform, forge, trim, inspect, and move steel parts as part of a forge crew.
• Train to rotate through multiple forge-crew functions such as scale blowing, die lubrication, tong operation, and hammer operation.
• Assist Hammer Operators and crew with equipment setup and die changes.
• Operate long-handled tongs and chain-assisted equipment to guide heavy material safely and precisely.
• Inspect forged parts for defects and verify with calipers and measuring tools.
• Document production and quality information; report safety or process concerns.
