Job summary

Ellwood Texas Forge Navasota is seeking safety-minded Forge Operators to join our physical, fast-paced forging team in Navasota, Texas. You will heat, forge, and inspect steel parts, rotating through multiple forge-crew stations and assisting with die changes and equipment setup.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and accurate material handling, with training to operate the forging hammer and coordinate with crew members during the forging cycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years in heavy manufacturing, steel, foundry, forging, press operation, industrial production, heavy equipment, or similar environment.
• Forging, forklift, mobile-equipment, high-temperature manufacturing, impact-wrench, or industrial-tool experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Heat, preform, forge, trim, inspect, and move steel parts as part of a forge crew.
• Train to rotate through multiple forge-crew functions such as blowing scale, die lubrication, tong operation, and forging-hammer operation.
• Assist with equipment setup, die changes, and material-handling tasks.
• Coordinate with Hammer Operator and crew using hand signals and cues during forging cycles.
• Inspect forged parts for defects and verify part requirements with calipers and measuring tools.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper PPE while following all procedures.
