Job summary

Ellwood in Corry, PA seeks a Forge Operator I to support forge and forming operations on various materials. You will work as part of a crew with supervision, handling furnaces, manipulators, and related equipment, with rotating shifts and potential travel to other plants as awarded.

Safety and housekeeping are emphasized alongside daily production tasks. Responsibilities include operating furnaces and tools, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring quality and traceability of forged parts

Qualifications

• Experience operating forge equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and follow forge instructions and safety rules.
• Capable of handling basic metal forging tasks and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work as a crew member performing forge operations under supervision.
• Operate manipulator and other required equipment.
• Charge steel into furnaces and assist in forging operation.
• Operate furnace doors, light furnaces, and read instrumentation.
• Place punches on forging, cut and scarf with torch, clean scale.
• Stamp identification markings on forging and stack dies as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep the area clean and safe.
