Job summary

The Forest Legacy Program Manager is a grant-funded role within the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. The position oversees Forest Legacy and CFLP projects, coordinates with federal partners, and manages budgets and stakeholder engagement to advance land conservation across multiple sites in Arizona.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Conservation, or related field.
• Three years work experience in a relevant profession, vocation, or activity.
• Experience with land acquisitions and conservation easements.
• Ability to develop and manage strategic program plans and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Administer Forest Legacy and CFLP programs and liaise with US Forest Service and partners.
• Oversee grant and budget administration for all FLP and CFLP aspects.
• Navigate land acquisitions, draft conservation easement documents, and coordinate due diligence.
• Develop and evaluate a comprehensive Forest Legacy and CFLP Strategic Plan.
• Administer awards, contracts, and program budgets; track status and outcomes.
• Coordinate with statewide advisory committees and participate on boards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
