Job summary

The National Forest Foundation is seeking an Arizona Forestry Program Manager to lead restoration programs in Northern Arizona, including oversight of forest projects across multiple national forests. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate with USFS and funders, and advance restoration and wood utilization initiatives.

Based in Flagstaff with remote work options, this role requires strong collaboration, travel across the state, and a commitment to forest resilience and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry or natural resources or equivalent experience is required.
• 3+ years of forestry or conservation project management experience with USFS policy knowledge.
• Strong understanding of Arizona natural resources issues and the NFF mission.

Responsibilities

• Build strategic partnerships with USFS, funders, contractors, and stakeholders for wildfire resilience and restoration priorities in Arizona.
• Lead development and implementation of forest restoration programs and project pipelines.
• Oversee all aspects of forest restoration project implementation, including procurement, contracts, field oversight, QA, and closeout.
• Serve as Timber Sale Administrator and Harvest Inspector for thinning projects with compliance to specs and standards.
• Manage budgets, contracts, reporting, timelines, and SOPs.
• Communicate project outcomes to funders, partners, and leadership.
• Support fundraising, grant development, and community engagement for resources.
