Job summary

National Forest Foundation in Flagstaff, Arizona, seeks an Exempt, Full-time Arizona Forestry Program Manager to lead forest restoration initiatives across Northern and Southern Arizona, coordinating with USFS and funders. The role oversees timber sale administration and project delivery statewide.

You will manage complex budgets, foster partnerships, and supervise forestry staff, with travel across Arizona and a strong focus on restoration outcomes and stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry or a related field; three+ years in forestry/conservation project management; knowledge of USFS policies; Arizona resources understanding; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with USFS, funders, contractors, and stakeholders to advance wildfire resilience and forest restoration in Arizona.
• Lead forest restoration programs, including work planning and agreement execution with USFS and funding partners.
• Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including procurement, contracts, field oversight, and quality control.
• Serve as Timber Sale Administrator and Harvest Inspector for thinning projects per specifications and standards.
• Manage budgets, contracts, reporting, timelines, and SOPs; ensure compliance and deliverables.
• Communicate outcomes to funders, partners, and NFF leadership through reports.
