Job summary

National Forest Foundation is seeking an Arizona Forestry Program Manager to oversee forest restoration programs across northern and southern Arizona. You will coordinate with the U.S.

Forest Service, funders, and partners to execute complex restoration projects and manage budgets, contracts, and timelines. You will supervise staff and field contractors, ensure compliance with timber sale processes, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in forestry or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years’ experience in forestry or conservation project management with knowledge of US Forest Service policies and regulations.
• Strong understanding of Arizona natural resources issues.
• Demonstrated commitment to NFF mission and environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain partnerships with USFS, funders, contractors and stakeholders to advance wildfire resilience and restoration priorities across Arizona.
• Lead development and implementation of forest restoration programs and project pipelines.
• Oversee all aspects of forest restoration project implementation including procurement, field oversight, QA and inspections.
• Serve as Timber Sale Administrator and Harvest Inspector for forestry projects.
• Manage complex budgets, contracts, reporting, timelines and SOPs.
• Monitor and communicate project outcomes to funders, partners, and leadership.
• Support fundraising and grant development to expand restoration efforts.
• Develop wood utilization and biomass removal opportunities and support for tribal firewood programs.
• Supervise forestry staff and contractors with leadership and performance oversight.
• Apply advanced forestry expertise to address operational and partnership challenges.
