Job summary

National Forest Foundation seeks an Arizona Forestry Program Manager to oversee forest restoration programs across Northern and Southern Arizona, including Coconino, Prescott, and Kaibab NM lands. The role partners with USFS, funders, and contractors to advance wildfire resilience and restoration priorities.

The manager will lead program development, oversee project implementation, supervise staff, manage budgets and contracts, and report outcomes to leadership and funders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry or another natural resources-related field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience with proven results in forestry or conservation project management and related community-based collaborative conservation.
• Strong understanding of Arizona natural resources issues; commitment to NFF mission.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain partnerships with USFS, funders, contractors, and stakeholders to advance wildfire resilience and forest restoration priorities across Arizona.
• Lead development and implementation of forest restoration programs and project pipelines, including planning and agreements with USFS and funding partners.
• Oversee all aspects of forest restoration project implementation, including procurement, contract administration, field oversight, and quality control.
• Serve as Timber Sale Administrator and Harvest Inspector for forestry projects.
• Manage program and project budgets, contracts, reporting, timelines, and SOPs.
• Monitor and communicate project outcomes to funders, partners, and NFF leadership.
