Job summary

State of Colorado, CDHS, is seeking a Program Director for the Forensic Support Team to oversee FST operations, policy implementation, and staffing across Colorado. The role directs staff, manages budgets, and ensures compliant service delivery to adults in forensic care settings.

The position requires ten years of related experience, advanced education in mental health or criminal justice areas, and licensure (LPC/LCSW/psychologist).

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
• A combination of related education in Mental Health, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work and/or relevant experience, equal to ten (10) years.
• Must have one of the licenses below to be considered: LPC, LCSW, Psychologist License by the Colorado Board Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and direction to the daily operations of the work unit and supervises staff.
• Oversees budgets, contracts, and stakeholder engagement.
• Develops and implements policies, procedures, and reporting for data requirements including the Consent Decree.
• Responsible for recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and staff training across statewide teams.
• Ensures compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and quality improvements.
