Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Structural Engineer specialized in damage assessment and failure analysis of commercial, residential, and industrial structures. This is a remote role, requiring work from a home-based office, with some travel. Candidates should reside near the posted locations.

Primary Purpose

Investigate failures, provide expert opinions, and contribute to the company's profitability through engineering consulting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assess structural failures, including roof damage, water intrusion, fire damage, storm damage, and more.
2. Survey losses at residential and commercial sites.
3. Investigate and document damage scope from recent events.
4. Determine failure causes for insurance and litigation support.
5. Analyze failure causes and document findings.
6. Collaborate on detailed reports and serve as an expert witness.
7. Maintain billable hours for projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• PE license, preferably multi-state or with NCEES Record.
• Experience as an expert witness is a plus.
