Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Part-time Emergency Forensic Care RN at Lakeland Hospital Niles to provide specialized nursing care to victims of violence. The role requires coordinating with the Forensic Care team and documenting care in the patient’s health record.

Ideal candidates hold a nursing degree, RN licensure, and NCLEX, with CFNC forensic certification (SANE-A/P) preferred for 0.5 FTE+ assignments and relevant acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing required.
• NCLEX licensure required.
• SANE-A certification preferred for 0.5 FTE+ positions; 3 years experience recommended.
• SANE-P certification preferred for 0.5 FTE+ positions; 3 years experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide forensic nursing care per ANA scope of practice.
• Collect health data related to sexual or physical violence and document in health records.
• Prepare reports and provide courtroom testimony when subpoenaed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and supervise staff as needed.
