Job summary

Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital Niles seeks an RN to provide forensic nursing care for victims of violence under the Michigan Nurse Practice Act. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered outcomes.

The position is part-time at Lakeland Hospital Niles with a variable shift. Licensure as an MI RN and at least two years of acute care experience are required; SANE-A/P certifications are preferred for 0.5 FTE+

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Nursing (required).
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
• SANE-A and SANE-P certifications preferred for 0.5 FTE and above.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional forensic nursing care per nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patient care.
• Collaborate with and supervise other staff as needed.
• Collect health data related to sexual or physical violence and report to appropriate sources.
• Prepare reports and provide courtroom testimony when subpoenaed.
