Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an RN SANE for the Evanston area. The role involves performing medical forensic exams, head-to-toe nursing assessments, and documentation for adult/adolescent sexual assault survivors in ED or inpatient settings.

You will work closely with ER physicians, survivor advocates, police, and legal teams to ensure compassionate care and adherence to professional standards. Illinois RN licensure and SANE certification are required or expected to be completed after hire.

Qualifications

• The role requires nursing licensure and advanced forensic nursing knowledge.
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical records is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with law enforcement and legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic nursing examinations and collect/ document specimens.
• Participate in peer/chart reviews and adhere to standards (SASETA, Illinois Nurse Practice Act).
• Collaborate with ED, Violence Prevention, law enforcement and legal partners.
• Attend courtroom proceedings related to sexual assault cases.
