Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for direct patient care in a hospital setting. The position requires a 12-hour shift pattern and supports a mission-driven team focused on comfort, safety, and patient advocacy.

Minimum requirements include an Associate degree in nursing and an active RN license, with at least one year of related experience. Additional required credentials (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale) may be obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse license.
• One year related experience or training.
• ATCN or TNCC or must obtain within 1 year of hire and related CNE hours annually if assigned.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or must obtain by end of orientation.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications or must obtain within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide traditional and individualized comfort measures.
• Support pain management with pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures.
• Develop and implement care plans based on core mission principles.
• Assess patient condition and document outcomes; plan discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families; tailor teaching plans to readiness to learn.
