Job summary

The City of Fayetteville is actively recruiting for a Forensic Supervisor to oversee staff responsible for collection and preservation of criminal evidence and processing of crime scenes.

This role supports the forensic unit and may serve as acting Forensic Manager; requires relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree. The position may involve court testimony and ongoing professional development within the department.

Qualifications

• Four years of crime scene processing experience with a law enforcement agency.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or Forensic Science required.

Responsibilities

• Select, train, motivate, and evaluate staff; coordinate training and address deficiencies.
• Assist in setting goals, monitor schedules, and improve efficiency.
• Maintain daily contact with personnel and coordinate service requests.
• Complete timely employee evaluations and provide performance guidance.
• Organize files and manage equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
• Serve as liaison with police and City departments.
• Pursue continuing education and leadership development.
• Testify in court regarding crime scene processing and evidence.
