Job summary

Oregon Health Authority seeks a Mental Health Registered Nurse for the Salem Campus. You will provide clinical nursing care in a forensic psychiatric setting, administer medications, and develop plans of care. You will assess patients, respond to crises, and supervise staff to maintain a safe milieu.

The role requires leadership, crisis management, and multitasking across shifts. This is a 100% on-site, full-time position at the Salem campus with a detailed pre-employment process.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon RN license during employment.
• Experience in mental health settings.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and lead staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to individuals at Oregon State Hospital Salem Campus.
• Administer medications as ordered; develop plans of care and complete assessments.
• Respond to emergent psychiatric situations; monitor staff assignments and supervise to maintain a safe milieu.
• Maintain compliance with pre-employment checks and reporting requirements.
• Work a 6:30am–5:00pm schedule, with potential 12-hour shifts in the future.
