Job summary

Oregon State Hospital invites applications for an Inpatient Psychiatrist. The role involves diagnostic evaluations, mental status exams, pharmacologic management, and risk assessments in an inpatient setting.

You will lead the interdisciplinary team, coordinating biopsychosocial treatment plans and clinical formulations to inform care levels and risk mitigation for the population served. The position reports to the Supervising Psychiatrist and Chief of Psychiatry within the Oregon Health

Qualifications

• Board certification or board eligibility at time of appointment.
• Physician's license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners at time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and mental status examinations.
• Perform pharmacologic management and risk assessments.
• Coordinate biopsychosocial treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Lead interdisciplinary treatment team and coordinate clinical formulations.
• Offer informed recommendations to county mental health agencies, courts, and forensic bodies regarding risk and levels of care.
