Job summary

The Oregon Health Authority’s Oregon State Hospital in Salem seeks a Primary Care Physician to join a multidisciplinary team providing non‑psychiatric medical care for adults with severe mental illness in an inpatient forensic setting. You will work with psychiatric colleagues and serve as a medical consultant to the treatment team.

Responsibilities include addressing acute and chronic conditions, coordinating care, and contributing to integrated treatment planning in a safety‑oriented

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in family medicine or internal medicine.
• Residency in family medicine or internal medicine completed in the United States or Canada.
• Physician’s license issued by the Oregon Medical Board.

Responsibilities

• Provide non‑psychiatric medical evaluation and treatment for adults with severe mental illness in an inpatient forensic psychiatric setting.
• Collaborate with psychiatric attending providers and act as a medical consultant to the treatment team.
• Address acute and chronic medical conditions and support integrated, whole‑person care planning.
