Job summary

The role requires 2–10+ years of experience, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and a P.E. license. Travel up to 25% to sites may be required; on-site work in Indianapolis is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• P.E. license required.
• 2–10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering related to products, machinery, HVAC, fire suppression or related systems.
• Project management or field investigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform failing analysis for forensic assignments within mechanical engineering scope.
• Identify origin, failure mechanism, and root cause of incidents.
• Inspect sites and equipment; document conditions and perform 3D documentation and analyses.
• Review codes, standards, drawings, and technical documents for compliance.
• Conduct analyses including industrial safety, equipment design, product liability, and safety.
• Support fire and explosion investigations involving mechanical systems and equipment.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
