Job summary

Envista Forensics in Columbus, OH is seeking a motivated Materials Engineering student for a Summer internship. You'll gain exposure to forensic and consulting engineering, including technical research, report writing, site inspections, and milestone projects.

The internship runs May 2027 through August 2027 and offers coaching from Team Leads, mentorship, and potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Third or fourth year in an accredited Materials Science or related Engineering program.
• Strong written and oral communication and critical thinking.
• Willingness to travel to site inspections as needed.
• Interest in forensic engineering and research.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical discipline to conduct in-depth technical research concerning ongoing cases.
• Assist in collection of evidence, documentation of site and equipment, and photographing related areas.
• Work with the Team Lead to write reports based on investigative findings.
• Travel to required location(s) for site inspections.
• Setup and run test projects; distill data into usable information.
• Assist consultants with marketing efforts and matter related work on an as needed basis.
