Job summary

Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center is seeking a dedicated Forensic Interviewer to conduct interviews with children or adults with disabilities who are alleged victims or witnesses. The role involves coordinating with investigators, caregivers, and MDT partners, and traveling among Midland, Andrews, and Big Spring counties to ensure thorough, trauma-informed interviews.

You will document findings, participate in trainings, and testify when required, while upholding best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in the field or at least 1 year of human services experience
• Knowledge of child development and forensic interviewing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience with collaborating with child protection, law enforcement, court systems, and related services
• Ability to organize multiple tasks and work with diverse populations
• Ability to work with victims of abuse without bias across multiple dimensions

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic interviews with children or disabled individuals using established protocols
• Travel between Midland, Andrews, and Big Spring offices
• Collaborate with investigators and non-offending caregivers
• Make referrals and recommendations for needed follow-up services
• Document case information accurately in the case tracking system
• Attend multidisciplinary team case reviews and court proceedings when needed
• Participate in training and professional development activities
