Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• 1–3 years handling sensitive data, preferably in electronic discovery.
• Experience with computer hardware and physical media preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Able to solve problems, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with customer focus.
• Able to work in a team or independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Log client media/evidence and project information with Chain of Custody.
• Store and secure all media/evidence in a storage facility.
• Generate media reports and perform data backups, extraction/restoration, and pre-processing using forensic tools.
• Maintain urgency on high-priority requests.
• Handle job requests from a queue or by assignment to keep progress.
• Communicate status to Intake Manager/Queue Manager and provide handoff instructions during turnover.
• Perform quality checks on client data to ensure accuracy and reduce rework.
• Keep the computer lab clean and organized at all times.
• Use password cracking software and forensic tools to access/repair data as needed.
• Escalate issues to senior team members as needed; perform other related duties.
