Job summary

Lighthouse is seeking an Intake Technician to receive and track client media and to pre-process evidence with forensic tools. You will extract data, generate reports, and prepare data for loading into processing software while ensuring data quality and custody controls.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment in Bellevue, WA. A strong foundation in Windows, Office tools, and data handling is expected.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent experience.
• Associate’s degree, two-year certification, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience/certifications preferred.
• 1-3 years handling sensitive data, preferably in an electronic discovery environment.
• Demonstrated experience with computer hardware and physical media highly preferred.
• Microsoft Office skills and experience working with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized, with a solution-focused attitude.
• Ability to solve problems, prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Log client media/evidence and project information accurately; maintaining Chain of Custody.
• Store, safeguard, and maintain all media/evidence in a storage facility.
• Generate media reports and conduct data backups, extraction/restoration, and pre-processing using forensic applications.
• Maintain urgency on high-priority requests and work proactively from a queue.
• Communicate job status and issues to Intake Manager and provide handoffs during turnover.
• Perform thorough quality checks on client data at multiple stages to ensure quality.
• Perform administrative duties relevant to project maintenance (billing, reporting).
• Keep computer lab clean and organized; use password cracking software as needed.
• Escalate issues to senior team members when necessary; perform other related duties.
