Job summary

Aperture LLC is seeking a civil engineer with forensic investigation experience to support insurance cases. You will conduct investigations, assess structural conditions, review plans and records, and document findings for coverage decisions.

The role requires field inspections, communication with clients, and the use of engineering software to prepare design documents. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and proven experience in forensic investigations.
• Texas PE license required; 5–7 years of staff engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and field inspections.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and assess structural conditions for forensic cases.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports for insurance matters.
• Perform in-town and out-of-town inspections, including crawlspaces, attics, roofs.
• Communicate project details with clients throughout the life cycle.
• Assist with other forensic investigations determining cause and origin.
• Use computer-assisted engineering software to prepare design documents.
